CIY Move is coming up! Join us the week of June 18th – 22nd for a conference specifically geared towards helping high school students become Kingdom Workers!
“Kingdom workers are called to stand out; to be different and make a difference. There is a stark contrast between a life lived for the King and one lived for anyone or anything else. What are those differences? How should our lives be distinct? Join us summer of 2018 as we look at John’s first letter.” Visit www.ciy.com/move/2018 for the full synopsis.
For more info, come to the interest meeting right after church on Sunday February 25th in the youth room. This meeting is open to all high school students, current 8th graders, and their families. All the relevant info will be passed out in the meeting.
If you missed the interest meeting, email Brendan at firstname.lastname@example.org or talk to him on a Sunday morning to get all the info!
This month we’re in a series called “Defenders Of The Least”, talking about who “the least of these” are and what our responsibilities are for this group. As Christians, we’re called to imitate Jesus in everything. So how would he treat the downtrodden, outcast, and forgotten?
Come join us for games, friends, and in-depth Bible study; leave with a deeper understanding of the Bible’s teaching and how it applies to your life!
We have dinner, hang out and catch up on what’s happened this week, then have a time of high-energy games and fellowship time. Then we have a time of worship, led by a live worship band, followed by practical, applicable teaching from Brendan, our youth minister.
This month we’re talking about relationships! In honor of Valentine’s Day we’re spending four weeks talking about what love is, how to maintain a proper perspective in a dating relationship, and how to honor God through all your actions in interpersonal relationships, whether romantic or not.
Plus, we’re in the middle of our annual Battle Of The Sexes. The boys won last year, but the girls are making a STRONG bid for the win this year… come help out your team!
Anchor is an awesome night to hang-out, have fun with friends both new and old, and learn more about following Jesus. It is the perfect place to invite a friend and get connected if you’re new to WRCC, or to church in general! Come and join us next Sunday night!
You can e-mail our youth minister, Brendan Shelton, at email@example.com
